A column with a sculptural representation of the "Coronation of Mary" in Sankt Andrä am Zicksee. The monument dates from 1877 and was donated by the Sattler family.
In the Catholic Church, the coronation of Mary is the crowning of Mary, the mother of the Lord, who was taken into heaven body and soul. The idea of Mary's coronation is associated with her invocation as "Queen", "Queen of Heaven" or "Queen of Angels". Such additions have been widespread since the 12th century.
