Elkhart, KS 4X

This map is based off of a real-life location situated between Guymon, Oklahoma and Elkhart, Kansas. I am focusing more on the Kansas area just because that’s where my family that farms, is at. It is going to be a pretty flat map but if you know the area, you know it’s pretty flat in real life. I’m going to do my best to get some elevation changes in the landscape, but I can’t guarantee that it’s going to be the best you’ve ever seen!

I’m asking the community to give me some feedback, would y’all like to see round crop fields even though there isn’t any good way to irrigate fields in FS 25? I know there were irrigation pivot mods in FS 22, but I never personally used them so I’m not sure how they work and not sure if/when they are getting converted over to the new game. Give me your thoughts on field shapes!

In the screenshots, you can see some of the “starting equipment” that you’ll have when you begin with the “Start Farm” option. You also get a look at the “default farm” and other nearby neighboring fields.
I have one more question for the community, do you normally build your own farms, or do you like already built farms on maps? I tend to build my own, so I like maps that are pretty open or have buildings that are sellable… that’s the way I’m leaning with this map, let y’all build your own farms. Plus, in the next few months, we’ll have way more shed, storage, and farmhouse mod options than what we have right now.

I want this to be a community driven map. I have plans with it that I will discuss in later updates but Afterall, it’s you that I’m hoping will download it and enjoy farming on it for a very long time. I can always create a map and build it the way I want it and keep it private… this one is for y’all!
