Welcome to Alde in the Donau-Ries district!
We are located in the Rieskrater, a landscape that is rather flat and yet littered with "hills".
Many years ago, a meteor hit exactly here, in the crater of which is now a beautiful natural landscape with small and large villages. The center is the district town of Nördlingen.
But we are not there, but on the southern edge of the crater, i.e. in the small community of Hohenaltheim. Hohenaltheim brings almost 1,500 inhabitants together with its Niederaltheim district.
Unfortunately, many farms no longer exist here:
