I have now added another version of the warehouse, this one is transfer station style! Sorting ladders line up perfectly under the transfer station and you can dump material into hoppers from above.
Here is my build of a rail warehouse where you can transfer materials from truck and trailers to rail.
It has many different loading doors and a nice concrete apron inside for perfect level for loading flatbed trailers, curtainsiders or reefer containers to my new steel coil wagons, boxcars , refrigerated containers or center beam wagons! The overhead crane can be very tricky, look at the photos to see how it is supposed to be installed. The wheels on each side roll into the I-beams at the top of the walls. There is a "trigger" point right next to the front door that allows the roof to be removed, making it easier to install the crane, but it can still be difficult. I'm working on how to make it easier. I plan to make different versions of this warehouse with pull-out loading doors and a few other options. This warehouse was built specifically to line up perfectly with the sections of track that could be placed on the yard ladder.
